Infinite Green Energy joins Red Earth to build Canadian Joint Venture
Infinite Green Energy (IGE) has been featured in Stockhead discussing the Joint Venture (JV) with Red Earth Energy, in partnership with Frontier Impact Group, to explore opportunities to produce green hydrogen in Canada.
Due to its abundance of fresh water, hydroelectricity, and wind energy potential, Canada was chosen as the best location for the new H2 Canada JV for the production of green hydrogen.
The article states:
"The JV will form partnerships with Indigenous First Nations communities in Canada to support and supply green hydrogen to a new, developing Canadian domestic market and export markets in Europe, Asia, the US and the Americas."
There have been several locations found, and each is making progress in a different way.
The JV intends to reduce carbon emissions in Canada by 120,000 t annually and to generate significant economic opportunities in the field of renewable energy.
"It’s a great pleasure to join with Red Earth Energy to deliver H2 Canada working in partnership with First Nations traditional landowners. Canada is an ideal location to enable Green Hydrogen delivery into the American and European markets."
Stephen Gauld, CEO, Infinite Green Energy
The managing director of Frontier Impact Group, Jennifer Patterson, expressed the Company's belief that green hydrogen has a significant role to play in the energy transition and anticipated that the company and its partners would draw on their experience in the Australian market to produce significant results in Canada.
The article states:
"The JV intends to propose green hydrogen hubs in Newfoundland, Quebec and British Columbia.
Feasibility studies will be carried out with the help of First Nations communities in Canada during the fourth quarter of 2022, and these are expected to be completed within 10 months.
The move expands on the company’s existing operations in Western Australia such as the MEG HP1 project in Northam and the larger Arrowsmith Hydrogen Plant."
